Prof. Ofer Arazy
Director of the Division of Innovation and Sustainability
A professor and researcher in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems. He holds a B.Sc. and an MBA from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. Prior to his academic career, he held various positions in industry, including Operations Manager at the software company Jacada.


His research interests include information management, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), knowledge management, social informatics and a variety of research methodologies ranging from design science to behavioral research.


Prof. Arazy’s work has been published in the premier journals in the field of Information Systems, including MIS Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), Journal of MIS (JMIS), Journal of the AIS (JAIS), and others. His 2010 article won the Best Information Systems Publication of the Year award. He served on the editorial boards of various academic journals.


Prof. Arazy leads the Haifa Innovation Labs (HIL), and as the Director of the Division of Innovation and Sustainability, a role he assumed in 2024, he is dedicated to embedding innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship across all levels of university operations, with the ultimate mission of driving real and lasting social impact.
