The Innovation and Sustainability Unit, alongside the VP for Engineering and Operations and the University Architect, won a grant from the Planning and Budgeting Committee and the Ministry of Environmental Protection (“Sustainable Campus”, Round 3).
With a one million shekels budget, a heritage fruit orchard will be planted near the student dormitories. It will serve as a green wildfire buffer, support climate adaptation, and preserve ancient fruit trees, alongside educational and community events. Led by Prof. Guy Bar Oz and key partners.
