Initiated by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission, 25 faculty members from diverse departments across the University of Haifa took part in an intensive nine-day study trip to Ethiopia. Moving through historic, cultural, and geographic landmarks, the journey functioned as a mobile multidisciplinary classroom that fostered interdisciplinary dialogue, deepened institutional community, and sparked new research collaborations, including plans for an academic course on Ethiopia. The expedition also provided meaningful, firsthand engagement with the heritage and history of the university’s Ethiopian-Israeli student community.
