A study led by doctoral student Ra Shish rediscovered the Dark-winged Jewel damselfly, not recorded in Israel since the 1950s after the drainage of Lake Hula. The species, limited to the Levant region, is considered significant for biodiversity conservation and may also serve as an educational focus for the public.
