Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature
The Master of Arts deepens and enriches students’ knowledge of Arabic linguistics and literature. These studies aim to assist students in familiarizing themselves with research related to these fields, to understand research methods, and to provide them with professional skills, including independent research paper writing. Studies will focus on Arabic literature, Arabic language, and Islamic culture.
Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and/or Literature or a related field (for the supplementary program), with a grade point average of 80 or higher.
Passing the entrance exam.
Department requirements specified on the department website.
Track A: Includes writing a final research paper (thesis).
Track B: Includes a final exam after two years of study, without writing a final research paper.
Employment options upon graduation: Teaching in schools (for graduates with a teaching certificate) and in academia, continuing in a research program in literature or in linguistics. Employment in translation, creative writing, literary review.
