Master’s degree in Criminology
Criminology is an interdisciplinary field that combines sociological, legal, psychological, philosophical, demographic and other facets, in order to analyze phenomena related to the study of crime, social perversion and crime victims, delinquency, enforcement of law and order, and establishing policies.
The Master of Arts programs in criminology develop and grant academic skills for the analysis and evaluation of various phenomena in the fields related to crime, delinquency and victimization in terms of individuals and society, providing a broad methodological and theoretical foundation, and the abilities to apply knowledge for purposes of counseling and integration in agencies of law enforcement, imprisonment, and the courts.
The School of Criminology’s programs provide students with in-depth knowledge of research, theory, and policy in a variety of fields in criminology, and how to apply them in the following specializations: Criminal Investigation, Law & Society, and Addiction related Criminal Investigation.
The School of Criminology also offers a program dedicated to employees of law enforcement systems and a program for students studying for a Bachelor of Laws.
