Undergraduate Degree in Information Systems
Learning period: 3 Years | Type of Program: Single major, double major | Enrollment Status: Registration begins January 29, 2023 | Department web site
Information systems enable the efficient and successful management of modern organizations. They constitute the central industrial infrastructure of the information society, and are present everywhere: in banks and insurance companies, in industrial companies and retail websites, in government offices, courts, and non-governmental organizations. A huge part of the activity of those organizations cannot be realized today in the absence of information systems.
In the Department of Information Systems, we train our students to analyze, design, implement, and maintain information systems in a variety of disciplines. The students acquire technological knowledge and experience, as well as organizational and inter-personal skills needed to understand the meaning of information systems to the organization and its end-users. There is special emphasis on first-hand experience, including an industry-related final project.
The single major program offers three possible areas of focus, each of which will entitle a certification to the BSc diploma in Information Systems: development, analysis & implementation, artificial intelligent (AI).
Data Sciences Program: The program leverages the strengths of three departments: computer science, information systems, and statistics. The program in the Department of Information Systems pinpoints on matching the data science task with the organizational goals and big data management.
Please note: Starting in the academic year 2022/2023, the studies will be held on the City Campus (located in the down town, Port Street).
