They are abundant with life and hold within them valuable natural resources that may be used as sources of food, energy, and medicines in future generations.<\/p><p>Most oceans and seas have not been researched yet, despite their great importance to the future of mankind. The University of Haifa\u2019s Department of Marine Biology offers interdisciplinary Master of Science and Ph.D. programs that combine courses in marine biology, molecular biology, ecology, and oceanography, with field work and advanced laboratory research in various areas of marine biology. These studies enable department graduates to use their knowledge and research skills to monitor the oceans, understand the processes of change taking place within them, and to guide decision-makers toward preserving the planet\u2019s marine heritage and environment.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.haifa.ac.il\/images\/marine_biology2.jpg\" alt=\"economy1\" \/><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-7282\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Admission Requirements<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7282\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7282\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p>Only outstanding graduates of a recognized institution with a Master of Science in biology, marine science, or other related science disciplines, with a minimum weighted final grade of 90 in graduate degree studies, and a score of 90 and above on the thesis, can be accepted to the department (supplementary studies may be required).
