dir=\"ltr\">The goal of this program is to equip undergraduate biology students with a broad base of knowledge from the molecular to the system level. The program consists of field- and lab-based biology studies.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Graduates of this program will be awarded a Teaching Certificate and a B.Sc. degree.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Classes are held at the Oranim Campus.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-7282\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Admission Requirements<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7282\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7282\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p><u>General Admission Requirements:<\/u><\/p><p>1. Complete Matriculation Certificate\/ high school diploma or an equivalent recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education or by the Registration Department.<br \/>2<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nite.org.il\/\">. Psychometric Entrance Examination<\/a>\/ SAT or ACT.<br \/>3. <strong>Knowledge of English<\/strong>\u2013 The level of English is determined within the framework of the Psychometric Entrance Examination, the English Placement Tests (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nite.org.il\/other-tests\/english-level-placement-tests\/?lang=en\">AMIR \/AMIRAM<\/a>) or <a href=\"https:\/\/engfor.haifa.ac.il\/?p=71\">SAT, TOFEL, IELTS, ECRL <\/a>tests<strong>.<\/strong><br \/>The minimum level of English required for admission to the university is <strong>Basic <\/strong>(a score of at least 85). Certain departments require a higher level of English.<br \/>4.\u00a0<strong>Knowledge of Hebrew<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Applicants who took the Psychometric Entrance Examination in a language other than Hebrew and graduated from high schools where the language of instruction was not Hebrew, must prove satisfactory knowledge of Hebrew before the beginning of the academic year by passing a Hebrew Proficiency Test (YAEL\/ YAELNET\/ Hebrew classification test of the University of Haifa* ). The score required for admission to the University of Haifa is a score of at least 120 on the YAEL\/ YAELNET\/ Hebrew classification tests.<br \/>Applicants whose scores on the YAEL\/ YAELNET\/Hebrew classification tests range from 90-119 and their Psychometric score was at least 500 will be conditionally admitted and will have to pass the Hebrew Proficiency Test at the required score by the end of the first year of their studies. These students also have the option of studying a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mechina.haifa.ac.il\/%d7%a7%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%a1%d7%99-%d7%90%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%99%d7%99%d7%a0%d7%95%d7%aa-%d7%a2%d7%91%d7%a8%d7%99%d7%aa\/\">Hebrew literacy course<\/a>\u00a0within the framework of the University of Haifa preparatory program (Mechina) . Those who meet the course requirements and their final score in the course will be 85 and above will be exempt\u00a0 from the Hebrew condition.<br \/><strong>Please note that certain departments require a higher level of Hebrew and that some departments do not approve admission with a Hebrew condition.<\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong>*The Hebrew classification test and Hebrew literacy course is valid at the University of Haifa only.<br \/><strong>5<\/strong>.<strong>Departmental Entrance Examinations\/Special admissions requirements<\/strong>\u2013 Certain departments require applicants to take a departmental Entrance Examinations and\/or attend an interview or meet other departmental requirements.<\/p><p>For more information about the general admission requirements please read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.haifa.ac.il\/2022\/05\/17\/supplement\/?lang=en\">supplement<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>In addition to the general university admission requirements, the candidate must meet individual departmental admission requirements.<\/strong><\/p><ul dir=\"ltr\"><li>A score of 580 or higher in the psychometric exam.\u00a0<\/li><li>Minimum grade of 110 in the Hebrew Proficiency Test (for candidates from non-Hebrew schools)<\/li><li>Completion with passing grades of a total of 8 units in high school science subjects.<\/li><li>Interview required.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Admission Requirements for Students who have a Matriculation Certificate** but have not taken the Psychometric Exam:<\/strong><\/p><p>Candidates will be required to pass a class entrance exam.
